Electric Cars: Information and Communication Technology becomes main driver

Research Project on the Role of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and its Architecture inside the Car

 For electric cars a new ICT architecture will become necessary. While ICT implements comfort and and supports the implementation of safety functions today, ICT will become the foundation for all driving functions. ICT will not only accelerate the shift towards electric mobility, but allows to achieve further goals such that energy efficiency or reduction of accidents. These are some results of the project „eCar-IKT-Systemarchitektur für Elektromobilität" funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
