The prerequisites for an application as a research assistant or postdoctoral associate usually is an honors degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical- and Mechanical Engineering or related fields, enjoying implementation-oriented research, entrepreneurship, autonomy and strong organizational and communication skills.

Research assistant and post-doc positions welcome graduates both with and without practical work experience. Due to its large network and solid reputation, fortiss alumni have excellent career opportunities as well as strong support for entrepreneurial endeavors.

As an academic research institution, and in cooperation with the Technical University of Munich, we offer excellent state-of-the-art opportunities for personal, professional and interdisciplinary skills development, such as within the framework of the TUM Graduate School. Providing that formal requirements and prerequisites are met, doctoral work and habilitations can be supported within individual arrangement frameworks.

In cooperation with the UnternehmerTUM initiative and in its role as the Munich node of EIT ICT Labs, fortiss actively encourages an entrepreneurial spirit in its employees and aims to maximize the launch of sustainable start-ups with high growth potential in the area.
