Dr. Alois Zoitl promovierte 2007 an der Technischen Universität Wien. Am Forschungsinstitut fortiss leitet er die Forschungsgruppe Industrieautomatisierung. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte umfassen wandlungsfähige Produktionsanlagen, verteilte Steuerungsarchitekturen, dynamische Rekonfiguration von Steuerungsprogrammen und Softwareentwicklungs- & Softwarequalitätssicherungsmethoden in der Industrieautomation.
