Software & Systems Innovation - Cutting-edge research for industrial digitization
Like no other topic, digitization and related concepts are currently occupying industrial manufacturing. The challenge for the factory of the future is to digitally network all elements of the production environment. In this way, they communicate in real time, process huge amounts of data, act autonomously in some cases and continuously optimize themselves. This upheaval, which is also referred to as Industry 4.0, poses major challenges for all those involved, which can only be solved by sharing knowledge and experience. In this context, the cooperation of research and industry is in particular focus, because through it technology trends can be set and the development of innovative ideas and solutions can be brought forward.
The series of events "PhD Colloquium" of the Siemens Campus AD starts exactly at this point and enables a successful format for mutual knowledge transfer between science and industry on the topics of IoT, Autonomous Systems, IT Security and Smart Data. The colloquium "Software & Systems Innovation" shows ways to develop technologies for the digitalized and highly automated world of tomorrow. Dr. Harald Rueß and Prof. Dr. Alexander Pretschner from fortiss will explain in the lecture "Leading with Software" why software development is the key competence in industrial manufacturing. Furthermore, fortiss scientists Ben Schneider and Nisrine Bnouhanna will discuss the topics "Flexible and Deterministic Wireless Scheduling" and "IoT Thing to Service Semantic Matching" in the poster session.
