Webinar: Modern open-source approaches to software for automation systems – Arrowhead and 4diac
Together with cooperation partners Luleå Tekniska Universitet (LTU) and Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi), fortiss scientist Georg Neugschwandtner introduces modern approaches to software development for automation systems, using open-source frameworks.
Webinar participants will receive a compact introduction to the concept of service orientation and the Arrowhead framework. In addition, they will learn about hardware-independent control logic with IEC 61499 and the 4diac framework. The presenters show how Arrowhead and 4diac can be combined in practice and will be available to answer participants‘ questions. This event will be especially interesting for everyone wishing to take a deeper look into CPPS and IIOT technologies (Cyber Physical Production Systems / Industrial Internet of Things).
The webinar is presented in the context of the MIDIH project (Manufacturing Industry Digital Innovation Hubs) advancing the pan-European collaboration between competence centers that support the manufacturing industry in realizing innovative digital solutions.
Technical leads, software designers, developers or integrators interested in understanding the relevance and potential of modern software development paradigms and open-source frameworks for automation systems
Basics of software development. No previous 4diac or Arrowhead knowledge is required.
