After two years of the corona pandemic, Bavarian small-to-medium enterprises (referred to as the Mittelstand in German) are facing major new challenges and many companies and their employees are already feeling the effects of the Ukraine conflict. To successfully manage and finance the on-going transformation process, Bavarian companies need the right framework.
An optimistic signal for the Bavarian Mittelstand
Incentives for necessary investments and the targeted promotion of technological innovations are more important than ever to ensure the positive development of the economy. With this in mind, the Bavarian Mittelstand Congress wants to highlight the various opportunities and challenges for the Mittelstand, present suitable strategies for the future and facilitate a forum for sharing information and networking between experts and these Mittelstand companies. A team from the fortiss Mittelstand area will be on hand as an expert point of contact for the topic “Digital Transformation in the Mittelstand” and will be available to consult with interested companies.
Hubert Aiwanger, Minister of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy for Bavaria, will give the opening address, followed by a podium discussion with participation by the presidents of the Bavarian Chamber of Commerce, the Bavarian Handwerkstag (skilled crafts and trade organization), the Bavarian Industry Association and others. The second part of the event will focus on the four forums: Digitalization, Internationalization, Financing and Skilled Workers.
The congress will then conclude with a standing reception providing abundant opportunities for genuine face-to-face networking. Apart from personally attending, the event can also be followed via a live stream.
Finding the right answers to digitalization
The congress’ diverse events and forums offer Bavarian entrepreneurs excellent opportunities for in-depth learning about the corresponding topics. The events will be supplemented by an exhibit - Market of Opportunities - which will be oriented toward the congress program. On May 18, Dr. Wolfgang Köhler's fortiss Mittelstand team will be there to welcome you with its offerings specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises.
