TASTE – transformation hub for the German automobile industry

Embodied Intelligence: Engine of the Digital Transformation 2.0

| The results of a broad-based investigation conducted by fortiss, Siemens AG, the German Dialogue Institute and the Center for Digital Technology and Management have been released under the title “Embodied Intelligence: Engine of the Digital Transformation 2.0”. The goal was to identify the societal, economic and technical developments and challenges of embodied intelligence (EI) and recommend actions for government, business, education and science. The investigation focused on the question of how we can ensure our standard of living by actively addressing the challenges of the digital transformation, while at the same time actively managing it.

Showcase for digital innovations

| The BayernLabs are local education centers open to anyone interested in learning more about the topic of digitalization. 11 of these institutes are already in operation in Bavaria. This past Monday a new center was opened in Forchheim by Bavarian State Minister Albert Füracker. fortiss, a cooperation partner of BayernLabs, exclusively programmed a demonstrator for the new location which is designed to make the topic of software tangible in an entertaining fashion.

AI-based system for the digital emergency room of the future

| The healthcare systems of tomorrow will be increasingly based on digital applications. Artificial intelligence and the availability of data can make a significant contribution to ensuring quality medical care and treatment in the future as well. The fortiss project ZNAflow is focusing exactly on this issue by paving the way for an AI-based assistance system in the central emergency room that is designed to improve the quality of treatment over the long-term and effectively relieve the ER staff.

Learning from successful AI projects

| Together with the IHK für München und Oberbayern (IHK for Munich & Upper Bavaria) and the appliedAI Initiative of UnternehmerTUM, fortiss hosted the successful conference format "KI für den Mittelstand (AI for SMEs)" for the fourth time in a row. Towards digital autonomy

| fortiss has recently seen its Horizon Europe CODECO project (COgnitive Decentralised Edge Cloud Orchestration) accepted. Involving a consortium of 16 relevant partners in edge cloud in Europe, CODECO shall develop a highly flexible and adaptive framework for orchestration of edge cloud, based on a novel view for decentralised edge computing.
