04/19/2023 | The successful completion of the AI flagship project ‘AuSeSol-AI’, funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate-Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, marks the end of three years of intensive collaboration between leading German and European research and industry partners. The aim of the project was to systematically tap into the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) for monitoring, controlling and optimising concentrating solar thermal power plants.

01/25/2023 | Another milestone for knowledge and technology transfer in the field of artificial intelligence has been established in Bavaria. To accelerate the further development and application of artificial intelligence in joint research projects, this past Monday fortiss GmbH, the Eastern Bavaria Technical University Amberg-Weiden (OTH) and Denkwelt Oberpfalz signed a letter of intent to collaborate in this area.

01/03/2023 | The results of a broad-based investigation conducted by fortiss, Siemens AG, the German Dialogue Institute and the Center for Digital Technology and Management have been released under the title “Embodied Intelligence: Engine of the Digital Transformation 2.0”. The goal was to identify the societal, economic and technical developments and challenges of embodied intelligence (EI) and recommend actions for government, business, education and science. The investigation focused on the question of how we can ensure our standard of living by actively addressing the challenges of the digital transformation, while at the same time actively managing it.

11/23/2022 | The healthcare systems of tomorrow will be increasingly based on digital applications. Artificial intelligence and the availability of data can make a significant contribution to ensuring quality medical care and treatment in the future as well. The fortiss project ZNAflow is focusing exactly on this issue by paving the way for an AI-based assistance system in the central emergency room that is designed to improve the quality of treatment over the long-term and effectively relieve the ER staff.
