IoT edge-cloud continuum – concept, demos and standards
The Horizon Europe project CODECO (Cognitive Decentralised Edge‑Cloud Orchestration) invites you to the final event and demonstration. Hosted by fortiss GmbH and INOVA+, the event will showcase the research and development achievements, innovations, and practical results from three years of collaboration on 24 March 2026 at the fortiss Labs in Munich.
CODECO is an intelligent, highly adaptable edge‑cloud framework that efficiently orchestrates services across the edge‑cloud continuum—from decentralized data management and dynamic workload offloading to adaptive network services. At its core are privacy-preserving, decentralized learning mechanisms that optimize latency, energy use, and resource allocation. CODECO enables the next generation of smart services in areas such as Smart Cities, Energy, Manufacturing, and Smart Buildings, providing open toolkits, apps, and developer resources to accelerate real-world innovation.
The project provides an integrated orchestration framework featuring AI-driven decision logic, automated control mechanisms, and an open tool ecosystem. The solutions address key application domains:
The event will provide insights into cutting-edge technologies and open up opportunities for collaboration, integration, and innovation across various application fields.
Free participation with direct access to live demonstrations and CODECO experts.
