For more than ten years, fortiss has successfully implemented the principle of research. apply. design. together with its partners from business, research and administration. In doing so, the state research institute places a special focus on cooperation with small and medium-sized enterprises in Bavaria, thus writing Bavarian success stories.

To date, this success is evident in more than 350 cross-industry projects. The process of research cooperation - from the development of the idea to the implementation of the results in daily use - could be realized profitably for all participants. Diabetic retinopathy (DR), a disease of the retina caused by diabetes, is the most common cause of vision loss in adults aged 25-60 in Europe.
