CODECO

Interactive demo camp for SMEs, researchers and students 2025

Join a focused and interactive Kubernetes-CODECO Demo Camp, bringing together SMEs, researchers, and students to explore the Horizon-Europe CODECO project and its potential for mobile autonomous robotics systems. CODECO (Cognitive Decentralised Edge-Cloud Orchestration) investigates new approaches for the intelligent management of distributed applications and mobile devices across edge and cloud infrastructures. Its goal is to provide organizations with efficient, flexible, and privacy-compliant solutions for implementing complex digital processes.

The workshop offers an introduction to the CODECO project and highlights ways in which companies and research institutions can get involved. A live demonstration of the flexible orchestration of autonomous mobile robots, combined with an interactive coding challenge, provides participants with direct hands-on insight into the technical implementation. The session concludes with key takeaways and an outlook on the project’s next steps.

Part 1 – Presentations & live demo

The workshop begins with a welcome and a comprehensive overview of the CODECO project, including project objectives, participating partners, and industrial relevance. This is followed by a live demonstration of the CODECO use case, showcasing the flexible orchestration of autonomous mobile robots (ROS 2) in practice.

Part 2 – Hands-on & wrap-up

The second part centers on an interactive coding challenge focused on the “IRCEP Greenness Task.” Participants are supported by experienced mentors and submit their results via GitLab. The workshop concludes with a summary of key insights, a feedback session, and an outlook on the project’s upcoming steps.
