What is AI—and what isn’t?
The use of artificial intelligence in manufacturing offers enormous potential—from production planning to automated quality assurance. However, many companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, are still in the very early stages. That’s why we’re launching our online theme week, “AI in Manufacturing,” to provide guidance on getting started and offer various perspectives. To that end, we’ll be addressing the following questions: Where is the best place to start? What prerequisites are necessary? And how can companies implement their first AI applications?
Through AI breakfast sessions, webinars, an online workshop, and an AI dialogue, you’ll gain a well-founded and practical overview of the possibilities AI offers across the industrial value chain. The series kicks off with the presentation "What is AI—and what isn’t?" by fortiss expert Dr. Martin Gottwalt, who will cover key fundamentals, provide guidance, and use practical examples to demonstrate the potential AI offers companies in the manufacturing sector.
