The Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) are a sustainable guarantor that provides the best possible support for the integration of innovative digital technologies for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe to improve products and services. DIHs concentrate expertise and experience from academia and industry, and all stakeholders can draw on both a regional and a pan-European DIH network.
VOJEXT (Value Of Joint EXperimentation in digital Technologies for manufacturing and construction) aims to create favourable economic and technological framework conditions for cognitive autonomous systems and human-robot interaction. fortiss is an active project partner in the European VOJEXT project and acts as one of four Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) in the project.
The VOJEXT project explores science-driven industrial methods that integratively connect humans and cyber-physical systems (CPS) to develop the cognitive capabilities required for more effective, socio-technical and business ecosystems. To this end, the VOJEXT project will design and develop affordable, market-oriented, versatile, and reconfigurable robotic systems. These will subsequently be deployed as one of the main components of an intelligent and scalable CPS ecosystem for the manufacturing and construction industries. In this course, the consortium is looking for interested SMEs and small mid-caps to develop, test or validate innovative ideas and technical solutions.
