Sector coupling in the neighborhood - energy potential analyses of networked buildings

The conversion of the building sector to a more sustainable supply of electricity and heat is one of the major challenges of the coming decades. Small and medium-sized enterprises suddenly have to deal with topics such as photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, energy storage and electromobility in addition to their core business.

The open neighborhood planning tool developed by fortiss in a joint project can help to show potentials and identify the relevant fields of action. Via a graphical user interface, it enables the analysis of savings potentials through energy networking or targeted system replacement in existing buildings.

Contents of the webinar

  • Energy networking of buildings (electricity, heat) with the help of digital technologies
  • Digitalization of existing buildings via BIM
  • Example of an existing building
