On July 8, 2025, the Network Systemverbund Verteidigung im Innovationsraum (SVI) invites participants to the Future Conference at the Wappenhalle in Munich-Riem. The following day, July 9, 2025, the Defence TechDay will take place on the grounds of the former Erding Air Base.

Impulses for the Defense Technologies of Tomorrow

The SVI Network Conference brings together experts and leaders from the Bundeswehr, industry, science, and politics. The focus lies on technological innovations, security policy challenges, and strategic future issues. High-profile panels and lectures create space for interdisciplinary exchange on relevant developments in security and defense technologies.

Hands-On Technology – Exhibition and Live Demonstrations

A curated exhibition of practical (system) solutions will be presented in the outdoor area of the conference. Demonstrations and simulations provide insights into operational scenarios of future battlefields and show which technologies already have operational relevance today.

fortiss, together with its partner Interactive Wear AG, is presenting neuromorphic computing and its applications in the defense sector. Highlights include event cameras capable of precisely capturing motion even under challenging lighting conditions, as well as an energy-efficient gesture recognition sensor for robot control. Discussions with the partner will also focus on innovative sensor systems, wearable electronic solutions, and secure communication technologies for the battlefield of the future.
