Dr. Holger Pfeifer studied computer science at the University of Ulm and completed a doctorate there on formal analysis methods for fault tolerance properties of distributed algorithms. He then worked in Ulm as a post-doctoral researcher and scientific assistant before moving to TU Munich in 2011 to the Chair of Software & Systems Engineering (Prof. Broy).

At TU Munich, Holger Pfeifer was program manager for cyber-physical systems within the EU innovation network EIT Digital. 

He has been working full-time at fortiss since 2015, initially as a researcher in the Software Dependability competence field, which he then headed between 2018 and 2022. Since 2023, Holger Pfeifer is serving as managing director at fortiss GmbH.
