Advancing 6G: from international research to global standardisation

The full-day workshop provides a platform for international exchange between experts from research, industry and standardisation. It focuses on forward-looking 6G technologies and their path towards global standards.

Requirements engineering & software selection

Full-day workshop jointly organised by the Horizon Europe INSTAR project and the 6G CONASENSE Platform at IEEE WPMC 2026. It bridges forefront 6G research and pre-normative standardisation, bringing international perspectives from the EU, Japan, ROK, India and Brazil.

Sessions cover international 6G roadmaps, AI-native networking, joint communication/sensing/positioning, non-terrestrial networks, quantum communications and 6G security, followed by a panel on aligning research with global standards (ETSI/3GPP/IEEE).

The workshop is organized by the 6G-CONASENSE platform (fortiss GmbH and CTIF Global Capsule) and the Horizon Europe INSTAR Consortium. fortiss is contributing its expertise in 6G research and standardization, as well as its role within the CONASENSE initiative and the INSTAR Consortium.
