Modelling deterministic wired/wireless TSN networks in NS-3
This tutorial addresses the modelling of deterministic wired/wireless environments in the context of flexible industrial IoT environments. The tutorial is based on the deterministic ns-3 framework being developed by fortiss GmbH, which comprises multipoint OFDMA-based (Wi-Fi6, Wi-Fi7) Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) regions interconnected with TSN wired regions. The tutorial shall go over the modelling of different scenarios based on realistic communication requirements for Reliable and Available Wireless industrial applications; address relevant mechanisms for tight time synchronization and multi-AP coordination in the verge of interference.
The tutorial is intended for students, researchers, developers that are interested in understanding how to model TSN both in wired and wireless. It aims at providing the audience with the most recent evolution of wireless in the context of industrial IoT, and provides a hands-on approach to the topics.
