But AI does not have to be located exclusively in the cloud. Today, edge computing makes it possible to evaluate data in a decentralized manner directly on the store floor and provide options for action. This is achieved through the use of edge controllers.
In this webinar, Prof. Dr. Rute C. Sofia will provide an overview of how industrial edge and cloud technologies in combination with existing automation solutions ensure greater flexibility, scalability and security in data processing and thus create the basis for new business models.
