Diese Aktivitäten werden durch die Entwicklung softwarebasierter Lösungen für die OSI-Schichten 2 und höher im Rahmen von drei primären Forschungsbereichen durchgeführt:
- dezentrales Edge Computing
- Systemanpassung in Echtzeit
- in-network Berechnung und Analyse
Vision
Ermöglichung von IIoT-Anwendungen der nächsten Generation, z. B. Videostreaming, immersive AR/VR, Schwärme von Produktionsrobotern und autonome Fahrzeuge durch die Entwicklung flexibler, kognitiver IoT-Netzwerke und Rechenarchitekturen.
Mission
Überdenken, entwickeln und validieren Sie IIoT-Systeme, die Datenverarbeitung, Kommunikation und Serviceautomatisierung konsolidieren.
Angebote
- Forschung, die auf neue Richtungen im Zusammenhang mit dem Edge-Cloud-Kontinuum abzielt, insbesondere das dezentralisierte Edge.
- Unterstützung für die Integration des dezentralen Datenaustauschs in industriellen Umgebungen durch neuartige PubSub (Publish-Subscribe) Ansätze.
- Unterstützung von bandbreitenintensiven IIoT-Anwendungen durch die Entwicklung kognitiver, KI/ML-basierter Netzwerkarchitekturen.
- Schulung und Ausbildung, z. B. praktische Workshops für Edge Computing und technisches Mentoring im Bereich der fortgeschrittenen IIoT-Systeme.
